Climaider is a subscription-based carbon offset company in Denmark. In the Climaider mobile app, its users can calculate their footprint, reduce it with easy challenges and offset what they have left.
Climaider had been working for about 2.5 months to implement v2.0 of its mobile app with significant changes to it. The development was already in progress.
4 weeks before the launch, Climaider wanted to conduct usability testing to find out if there were any design or usability issues that needed to be fixed before the launch.

Stakeholder engagement
After crafting a draft research plan, I invited key stakeholders for a kick-off meeting. We discussed the questions that we needed answers to, making sure everyone was aligned and prioritized the questions. The tech team was hopeful to provide a functioning dev mode of the app in the next week which could be used for testing.
Research method
A combination of methods was used to strike the right balance to hit time and budget goals, but still, be rigorous enough to gather valuable feedback.
Therefore, a combination of moderated observational studies and interviews was the way to go for our study.
